Redditch Scouts

The scout movement in Redditch commemorates its 100 year anniversary this year. I am supporting them in this event and they are searching for archive material to support this. If you can help in this could you contact me at history@anthonygreen.info and I will contact you.

Alcad History moves to .org.uk

When I set up the Alcad History site 8 years ago, I used a .co.uk suffix. However, with more experience I found that this was for a commercial site and not for a history site. I have therefore moved Alcad History to www.alcadhistory.org.uk which is a more appropriate suffix. It has taken a little time to ensure that the links were not lost, but is now operational. The main site is now based at www.alcadhistory.org.uk, but the original site www.alcadhistory.co.uk still links to the site. However, Google etc. should now find the site as the .org.uk suffix which will prevent the number of overseas organisations asking for quotes for batteries!

Redditch History Timeline Update

I have updated the Redditch History web site to enhance the timeline section. This now includes a graph showing the increase in population since 1700 and comparing this to the National increase. I have also added a section showing the physical expansion of the town using annotated maps and introduced a link to this blog.
